We celebrated three years in business in June and could not be more thankful for the support of our customers, community, vendor partners, and team. Thank you for being a big part of what we love doing every day. They say that the majority of new businesses fail within their first three years. I guess that means that we've finally earned our big boy pants and have a lot to look forward to as we start on a new year... year four. Becoming Great
This last year has been exciting, challenging, and fun. As we've grown, we've learned a lot about ourselves and have worked hard to be great at some things instead of just good at everything. In an effort to serve our customers better, we rethought and moved our service offerings into three categories: web, search, and design. These three things represent who we are, what we are great at, and where we are headed as a creative boutique. Always Learning One of the things we've challenged ourselves to do this last year is to learn more, learn more often, and teach others how to learn. By reserving time every week we have, as a team, each explored new ideas and implemented some exciting new things that will help our customers continue to grow their businesses.
Our investment in ourselves is paying dividends for our customers as we see the results of implementing the things we've learned into the websites and web applications we build, the marketing strategies we manage, and the designs we create. This is a direct result of our quest to learn more, learn more often, and teach others how to learn. As Steve Jobs once said...stay hungry, stay foolish. Doing What's Right It's important to me to continue growing New York Ave into a healthy business that is driven by doing the right thing for our customers, not the debt we have to pay back. I'm proud that we remain a debt free business with steady organic growth that's grounded in great work, by great people, for great businesses. The Future Is Bright I'm encouraged by what's yet to come and where we'll go as a team. Though we've crossed into the beginning of our fourth year, I feel that we've really only just gotten started. Thank you again for being the best part of what we love to do. With thanks, Joshua Hays Head of Vision |
